I have been asked the following question many times, “How do you have the time to hit all the deals in one sales week?”
The answer: I do not.
I simply don’t have the time to hit all the sales that I would like to in a week, so I prioritize. I focus on the best deals that week for the items I need.
We all know that time is money and if you are wearing yourself out each week trying to catch every deal, its simply not worth it. Also, remember to calculate your fuel cost into your actual savings. If you are going to drive a distant to save dollars, make sure it is well worth it.
Here is what I suggest doing:
1. Go through the store deal match-ups.
2. Select the items you need to purchase.
3. Go through your list one more time and get picky. (Do I really need to stop at a certain store for only 2 items?)
4. Once you have gotten your “slimmed” down list together, shop away!
I have been following this method for a while now and believe me, I am still seeing big savings (minus the stress)!
Oh, and for those of you who only have time to hit one store a week, I highly suggest price matching.
Remember, it’s okay to not hit every deal!
